Junior Announcements and Information
- The counselors will meet with Juniors in small groups during the month in the Spring to go over the Junior Planning Guide. Map out your junior year by following our 11th Grade Planning Timeline.
- Refer to the College Fairs & Tours page as well as the College Planning page to help you in your college search. There are virtual as well as in-person events.
- The PSAT was administered at LRHS on October 12, 2023 for interested 9th-11th graders. WCPSS will pay the administration for 11th grade students who have a GPA in the top 10% of the district. Students can also access PSAT practice tests online and get diagnostic information that can be used to improve future performance. Please note the practice tests do not count toward scholarship opportunities.
- Students who took the PSAT received their test book in mid-December, along with an instruction sheet on how to access scores. The school does not receive a hard copy of the scores to distribute. Click here to learn about Understanding Your PSAT Score. The counselors are also available to assist.
- All Juniors took the ACT for free on February 27, 2024. It is highly recommended that students bring their own ACT approved calculator. The best calculator is the one that the student uses regularly. For tips/links on how to understand your score, add your score to your MyACT account, and other troubleshooting info, read our ACT Score Information flyer.
